Keeper is here to solve the shortcomings of other platforms, plus the curveballs the AFL have thrown at us in recent years – i.e. subs, byes & Thursday games.
Interviews with commissioners of varying league types and rules helped us identify many other concerns around functionality, usability and reliability, all of which have been addressed.
Additionally, Keeper sets out to solve one more issue – the concept of league continuity. Hence "Keeper" was born, a platform you'll be able to call home long-term and evolves over time with your league.
How will we do that exactly? This will become clear once you jump in and see our approach, and we can't wait to share dozens of never-before-seen features in Australian fantasy sports that you're going to love.
Keeper will support traditional Point Scoring leagues, as well as Category Scoring leagues (our fav!).
Firstly, thanks for reading this far! Keeper is headed up by Ryan Power (@Power_32) who has a love of building games for AFL fans, some of which you might have already played.
Most significantly, Ryan built Ultimate Footy, a fantasy draft platform that started in 2008 and eventually merged into AFL Fantasy. More recently you may have played one of his other creations – Gridley, Worpel, Captains Challenge or Finals Fantasy.
After a decade working on fantasy games around the world professionally, and more than 20 years playing in draft leagues across many sports, it's been a privilege and a pleasure to come back to where it all began and leverage this knowledge into a brand new, world-class draft platform.
